FREE Workshops

Limited to a maximum of 15 participants

These coding workshops are provided to help kids aged 5 to 16 develop skills in:

  • Digital literacy
  • Animation
  • Block-based coding
  • Robot building, and more!

No experience or registration required!

Admission to Science North is not required to participate in the workshops.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Tired of the same old cartoons? Make your own! Kids will work with our Bluecoats to explore the world of creative coding and digital animation. Explore 2D and 3D animation by creating short movies and video games, or try your hand at typography and motion graphics!

Recommended ages: 5-16Max Participants: 15

Robot Olympics

Put your programming skills to the test in these new Olympic events designed for robotic competitors. No experience required! A variety of robotics tools make the activities suitable for all participants.

Move your Bot

Extend your coding experiences with opportunities to explore an assortment of coding tools. Bluecoats will be on hand to assist participants but we encourage self-directed exploration! Length of stay can be determined by individual interest and engagement levels.
