Science North's After-school Science Kids (ASK) program offers hands-on, fun educational science activities with healthy snacks, a homework club, science-based activities, science centre time, outdoor discovery, special science guests, and much more!

Currently, we have spaces available for children ages 4 to 12. Prices are $11.50 per student per day for members and $12.50 per student per day for future members. ASK begins in September and runs until June (entire school year).

Some of our special guests have included Dr. Philip J. Currie from the University of Alberta, who has discovered and named dinosaurs; Marc Garneau, Canadian astronaut; and Dr. James Delgado, expert on the Titanic.

Along with our ASK staff, Science North's Staff Scientists also lead programming and activities that are age-appropriate.

Due to bus routes, participating schools include:

  • Alexander Public School
  • École St Denis
  • École publique Hélène-Gravel
  • Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School
  • MacLeod Public School
